Synopsis

All I Want ShalvisFrom the “awesomely, incredibly talented”* New York Timesbestselling author of Still the One, comes a sexy new Animal Magnetism novel set in Sunshine, Idaho, where the sky is the limit when it comes to love.

Pilot-for-hire Zoe Stone is happy to call Sunshine, Idaho, her home base. But her quiet life is thrown for a loop when her brother’s friend Parker comes to stay with her for a week. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife special agent is a handsome flirt with a gift for getting under her skin. And the situation only escalates when Parker hires her to fly him around the area while he collects evidence on a suspected smuggler.

Now she has to live and work with the guy. But when they’re in the air, she sees another side of him. He’s driven, focused, and sharp. And while he enjoys giving commentary on her blind dates, she quickly realizes with a shock that it’s Parker who gets her engines going…

My Review

Tension and humor, tenderness and sexiness—it’s all wrapped up delightfully in Jill Shalvis’ light-hearted, fast-paced romance, All I Want. Zoe and Parker’s story sizzles, leaving me entirely happy in a swoon-induced bliss.

We get to know Zoe Stone (Wyatt’s sister/Then Came You), who seems content living in her family home in Sunshine, Idaho, while working as a pilot for hire. She’s smart, snarky and stubborn, but she’s kind and loyal to the core.

Then comes Parker James. A mysterious, charming man who rattles everything about her quiet life. He’s Wyatt’s close friend and he’s staying with her while he’s on “vacation.” Parker is exceedingly confident with an air of danger and a whole lot of intrigue. Immediately, there’s an undeniable connection between them which becomes impossible to ignore, especially when living under the same roof.

The more we learn about Parker, the more secrets we realize he hides. The story unfolds in a dual POV format and I loved experiencing how they fall deeper and deeper for each other… no matter how much they each deny it happening.

Zoe wants good, stable and transparent, but Parker is an enigma, and his stay in Sunshine is temporary. Before too long however, danger does catch up with them and hearts definitely get tangled together in such a way that makes it difficult to walk away.

This is a great, swoony romance with a little suspense, a little sexy and a little humor to keep things fun and entirely enjoyable. Shalvis sure knows how to deliver romance to her readers.

“The truth is I’m out of control when it comes to you.”
