What inspired this story and what should readers expect?
I was inspired to write Diamonds after spending a weekend with friends in Santa Monica. The idea for Gold, to write about gold diggers in a different light, I’d had for a few years. I actually started writing it before I finished Avoiding Responsibility in Jan of 2012. But the idea for Diamonds, a sort of introduction to how the main character becomes a gold digger, came to me later.
Readers should expect a fun, sexy ride through the glamorous life of someone who has everything in the heart of Beverly Hills and yet still craves more. Bryna isn’t an easy character to love. In fact, you’ll probably be angry with her for being such a downright feisty, no-holds-barred bitch. But then she’ll surprise you and you’ll love to hate her and hate to love. By the end you’ll be rooting for her. There’s a whole lot of hot in here plus some mystery and a realization that money doesn’t buy everything.
