Attending the Fifty Shades of Grey FIRST screening was epic. It was awesome. It was the opportunity of a lifetime. The energy in the room was off the charts, excitement was buzzing, cameras were clicking… some of the biggest fans around the world were clamoring to see one of our favorite books come alive on the screen and let me tell you: IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! In fact, it was AWESOME! The movie delivers in every way. It was sexy as hell, intense, romantic and perhaps most surprisingly, really funny. Jamie Dornan was great as Christian Grey, but Dakota Johnson blew me away. Definitely go watch it with friends and have fun! Read my review of the movie here.

Party Girl’s First Date by Rachel Hollis (Feb 10)
Landon Brinkley is twenty-four years old and she’s never been on a real date. That’s mostly because she’s been working so hard on her dreams she hasn’t had time to bother with men. But then Brody Ashton walked into her life and since he looks like an underwear model (but you know, with clothes on) it was kind of impossible not to take notice.
So Landon and Brody are dating now, or really, beginning to. It’s all very new and exciting and there’s only one problem… they still haven’t gone on a real date. So that’s what tonight is supposed to be; magical, romantic, expensive… and it’s about to go horribly wrong.
Party Girl’s First Date is a novella that continues the love story of Landon and Brody where it left off in Party Girl.
The Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard (Feb 10)
★ VBB Fantasy/Dystopian Recommendation ★
Graceling meets The Selection in debut novelist Victoria Aveyard’s sweeping tale of seventeen-year-old Mare, a common girl whose once-latent magical power draws her into the dangerous intrigue of the king’s palace. Will her power save her or condemn her?
Mare Barrow’s world is divided by blood—those with common, Red blood serve the Silver- blooded elite, who are gifted with superhuman abilities. Mare is a Red, scraping by as a thief in a poor, rural village, until a twist of fate throws her in front of the Silver court. Before the king, princes, and all the nobles, she discovers she has an ability of her own.
To cover up this impossibility, the king forces her to play the role of a lost Silver princess and betroths her to one of his own sons. As Mare is drawn further into the Silver world, she risks everything and uses her new position to help the Scarlet Guard—a growing Red rebellion—even as her heart tugs her in an impossible direction. One wrong move can lead to her death, but in the dangerous game she plays, the only certainty is betrayal.
First in a series.
It’s hard to believe how much our lives have changed since we first began our publishing careers. Some of you may have discovered us with our New Adult novels, Fallen Too Far, Slammed, and Beautiful Disaster, but our journeys started long before then. For Abbi, it began with her lifelong love of romance novels, an unforgettable Christmas present from her husband, and the inspiration she drew from the Gulf Coast. For Colleen, it began with her childhood imagination, an Avett Brothers lyric, and a desire to write the kinds of books she wanted to read. For Jamie, it began with a three-ring binder that became the first of twenty-one journals, a bestselling young adult series, and the support of her former high school librarian.
For those who have read and loved our novels, we offer you a glimpse into our lives and careers—both then and now—with photos and videos and a behind-the-scenes look at our 2014 Fall in Love tour. And you’ll also get a sneak peek at what’s coming up from us next.
Thank you so much for your support. We wouldn’t be here without you.

One of my favorite books of the year is out tomorrow and I cannot wait for you guys to grab this one!!! I LOVED IT! It’s like a ‘Game of Thrones’ story with lots of deceit, romance and action. In Aveyard’s world, people are divided by the color of their blood: Reds and Silvers. Silvers are the elite and they all tout some kind of super ability, and the Reds are those who serve them… struggling through life and living under fear of death. It was a richly imagined story which breathes new life into the typical fantasy/adventure book. I couldn’t put it down. This is definitely one you should look forward to reading! Pre-order.
Red Queen is the first in a series, and ends in a happy-for-now, but more-to-come kind of ending and I already can’t wait to devour the next book!
